DIY: Epsom Salt Foot Soak

DIY: Epsom Salt Foot Soak

Ever received a holiday gift from a friend or acquaintance but had nothing to give them in return? You could whip up a batch of Christmas cookies to share, or even better, throw together this ridiculously easy Epsom Salt Foot Soak and never be caught empty-handed again!

Ingredients:

-1 cup Epsom salt

-1/2 cup sea salt

-1/2 cup baking soda

-Essential oils

-Food coloring (optional)

Step 1. Find some mason jars or containers to store the salts in. (TJ Maxx and thrift shops are great places to go to look for cute glass containers.)

Step 2. Combine Epsom salt, sea salt and baking soda in a mixing bowl.

Step 3. Add in a few drops of your desired essential oil(s) and stir. If you'd like to give your gift some color, add in a few drops of food coloring and break up the clumps as you mix into the salts.

Step 4. Pour your mixture into a clean jar, add a label, and tie it up with a bow!

Here are a few of my favorite essential oil combinations:

Tangerine + Mint

 - an invigorating, uplifting citrus mint blend

Lavender + Rosemary

- a soothing herbaceous floral blend

Grapefruit + Tea Tree

- a purifying, cheerful blend*

Lavender + Eucalyptus + Tea Tree

 - an exhilarating floral blend*

*Tea Tree Oil contains antibacterial, antimicrobial properties

I hope you have fun crafting these goodies and more!! Can't wait to hear about your DIY spa treatments!
