Hi!

I'm Alison, a yoga instructor, lifestyle blogger and Long Beach native, living in Southern California with my husband Chris and our two kiddos, Callie and Ford.

This blog has been a space to share my adventures in fitness, food, travel and more as I’ve lived in San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, and now Orange County. I hope that my posts help inspire you to be your happiest and healthiest self, no matter what stage of life you are in!

Thanks for stopping by and maybe even say hi over on my Contact page :)

We had such a great time in Santa Barbara last weekend — more in my latest post, Five Things to do in Santa Barbara with Kids, here — but of course I was immediately inundated with laundry, household “catch up”, and all the things upon our return. After a good night of sleep Sunday, I tackled it head on and have everything ready for St. Patrick’s Day and Chris’s birthday in the week ahead:

  • Birthday decorations and presents purchased

  • Got everything ready for Callie’s special St Patrick’s Day cupcakes for school (inspiration from Pinterest, duh!)

  • Also did a mini run through of the kids clothing; packing away too small sizes and figuring out what pieces we need to add to their closets next

Speaking of closets, I’ve been sticking with my closet clean out strategy, and after a month and a half, I’m getting a really good idea of what’s going to stay and what’s all going to get donated soon… If you’re interested in trying out the method yourself, you can read more about it here.

Admittedly, I fell off the 5AM train this week after a weekend away and Daylights Savings piled on top. BUT, by Wednesday morning I was back at it and this was exactly the video I needed to get me back into the swing of things: Feel Good Fresh Morning - Yoga with Adriene

As always, let me know if you have any feedback, questions or recommendations for things that make you feel good. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!
